Risk and WHS

Safety is foremost in all aspects of CVEM's operations.  As a component of our service, CVEM regularly prepares full security plans, emergency evacuation plans, alcohol managment plans and safe operating procedures for our venues and event clients.

CVEM has developed a Work Health & Safety Management system.

This has been developed as part of CVEM's commitment to excellence in all areas of business and will be a significant factor in CVEM's ability to complete projects safely. We have an established WHS policy, and all safety systems and procedures will be constantly monitored and updated.

These activities will be coordinated by the WHS Manager, in conjunction with WHS Coordinators in each venue. CVEM realises that its performance while working on a site also reflects on that of the client.  CVEM is committed to doing everything possible to maintain its excellent Safety record and to also preserve that of the client.
The following aspects of this policy are worthy of note:
  • Instruction, supervision and training is provided throughout all levels of the organisation including Management, Supervisors, Operatives, and Workplace Safety Representatives.
  • All personnel and subcontractors are briefed on the expectations of all parties in relation to WHS at the time of engagement and during their activities within or for the Company.
  • CVEM will actively participate in the development of WHS practices in the Company through WHS Coordinators, and in the industry through various industry associations.
  • Staff and subcontractors are provided with further education and training on specific issues such as manual handling, First Aid training and rehabilitation.
CVEM complies with the requirements of the various acts and regulations on all sites. This includes such issues as induction programs, emergency systems, evacuation systems, rehabilitation programs, safety training and monitoring system.
